Nor is biblical teaching opposed to the subjection of community to legitimate state authority. These unbiblical ideas tend towards fear and cultish exclusivism.
The healing of our souls and bodies, our relationships or land and finances is always according to the merciful will of God, our heavenly Father. He does want us well and functional. His provision is available for those who step into His way. But it is not about selfish claims, greed or personal glory – when we see these things, especially in religious settings, our hearts tell us it is not of God, but a twisting of His Word. And eventually that “way” will not prosper. Psalm 2
